Gurgaon: Educationists and schools advised precision and transparency in data interpretation of the Foundational Learning Survey 2022 involving 1,800 Class 3 students from across Haryana. On Friday, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) concluded the two-day survey to assess learning loss during the pandemic.

Conducted jointly with the ministry of education, the study picked ten students each from 180 schools. Trained SCERT field investigators assessed them in 40-minute one-to-one sessions. The survey data will help design programmes to enhance reading, writing and comprehension skills among primary school students, a target set under the Nipun Bharat Mission of the education ministry.
